Train, Bus and Coach Stations

London has several main railway terminals. When railways were first built and run in the 19th century a number of different companies ran trains to different places and built separate main stations in the capital.

  • Charing Cross, in the Strand, London WC2, has short distance trains serving part of Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
  • Euston, in London NW1, its trains go to the West Midlands and the North via the west coast line.
  • Paddington, Praed Street, London W2, has services to South West Britain including Somerset, Wiltshire, Cornwall, Devon and Wales.
  • King's Cross, not far from Euston in London N1, has services to the East Midlands and the North via the east coast line
  • Victoria, London SW1, has services to South Eastern England, including Kent and Surrey.
  • Waterloo, London SE1, serves Central Southern England including Hampshire and Dorset.London Waterloo Station
